Local Shops

There is a Morrison's, Aldi and Co-op supermarket in the nearby town of Liskeard where you will be able to purchase all your usual foodstuffs etc.  Also nearby for those little extras is the convenience shop at Pensilva (turn left coming out of the estate and at the top of the hill you will see the sign for Pensilva.  Cleaning products are supplied for you.

Liskeard has several banks etc, a Post Office and a varied selection of smaller local shops including chemists.

Liskeard has several pubs and restaurants so you have no need to cook if you're wanting some time away from the kitchen.

La Bocca Looe

Talland Bay Hotel - This is a fabulous, quirky place to visit. The gardens and views are stunning.  The drinks are a little pricey, but for the setting and service I feel it's worth it.  The food and service is amazing, however I would suggest that you book in advance as it's very popular. Tel: 01503 272 667

Ocean and Earth Thai restaurant Looe - truly authentic Thai food with great service and attention to details.

The Himalayan Spice Liskeard - offers a great selection of Indian and speciality Nepalese meals.  Takeaway and delivery avaiable. English Curry award winners 2022. Tel: 01579 208 040

La Bocca Looe - fabulous pizzas and more from the wood fired pizza oven.  They also do takeaways.  Pretty extensive menu and very happy to help with variations. Tel: 01503 265 160

Wheal Tor Hotel - you'll find this bar and restaurant at the top of the hill (B3254) on the edges of Bodmin Moor.  Fairly recently been taken over and I'm now happy to recommend the food and the service all at reasonable prices.  Amazing views to be had whilst you sit and enjoy a leisurely time on their terrace. Tel: 01579 363 401

Wetherspoons Liskeard - reasonably priced food and drinks, you'll find it on the Main Street in Liskeard.

If you fancy doing something a little adventurous and different then Adrenalin Quarry (just off the A38 between Liskeard and Looe) is the place for you with zip wires, axe throwing, go-karting and more, this is a fabulous place for a little excitement. Tel: 01579 308 204

If you have children I can also recommend the Tamar Donkey Sanctuary at Gunnislake where some of the friendly donkeys wander amongst the visitors. It also has a fairly decent sized play area (great for rainy days) and outdoor swings/slides and more with picnic tables outside.

A swimming pool and leisure centre are to be found at Lux Park on the way to Liskeard.  Tel: 01579 342 544 for further information.

Bodmin Moor is literally just up the road (B3254) for plenty of walking and exploring.

More tourist information and leaflets will be found in the bungalows.
